FAQ

  1. What is 7v7 Football? 7v7 passing league is a non-contact skill position matchup.  Each match consist of a 20 minute game.  The offense takes the ball at the 40 yard line and has 3 attempts to get a first down (located at the 20 and 10) or a touchdown by passing the ball.

  2. What is the difference between flag and 7v7?  7v7 does not have flags, it is touch football. The game of 7v7 is more schematic based around the actual game of football. The offense has 4 seconds to get rid of the ball.

  3. How many players make the team?  12 – 16 players per team.

  4. When are practices? Practices start first week April,  if you start your own team you are responsible for your practice schedule.

  5. Where are practices? if on the superiors team Practices will be held at Greenwich country day. Check the practice schedule for updates. 

  6. Practice Itenerary? 7 v 7 Clubs will have 1-2 scheduled practices per week that last approximately 2 2 1/2 hours. Practices could include the following:​

  • Chalk Talk

  • Dynamic Warm Up

  • Positional & Fundamental Training

  • Competitive One on Ones

  • Competitive Group Sessions

  • Offensive & Defensive Install

  1. Where are tournaments?  Tournaments will be held at Greenwich Country Day School, New Canaan, or Stamford

  2. When are games?f April 23 on Sunday’s through June 11th. Teams will compete against other teams from the surrounding towns of Stamford, New Canaan, Norwalk, and Westport.ect

  3. Are there Travel Opportunities? Yes, players are invited to participate on Fairfield Superiors 7v7 Travel Teams based on their play in the league. They will be evaluated over April and May and sent an invite for a travel team based on their performance.

  4. What do the players get?

    1. Custom Uniform Package

    2. Coaching Staff

    3. 3 to 4 games per tournament

    4. Two round robin 4 game tournaments ( 8 games total).  

    5. Fairfield championship game featuring the top teams.

  5. Whats the Cost? $350  per player for the tournament series. outside tournaments will be an extra charge.

  6. Tryouts: A tryout can be hosted in each respective city / town by their team.
